To All Club Members, Secretary’s and Match Secretary’s
During the last meeting of the Brighton Hove & District Badminton Association the committee discussed at length the current situation in the Brighton League. As you will be aware the Mixed Division One consists of only four teams, this is due to withdrawals taking place after the fixture meeting. The three mixed divisions have already undergone major changes due to team withdrawals. We understand there are concerns about next season’s format and the promotion and relegation situation. Comments have also been made regarding the length of combination matches now that we are using rally points scoring.
We would like your club to consider the situation and would appreciate your comments and suggestions.
It is hoped to discuss this again at our next meeting in March and we would like to reach a consensus so that firm proposals can be offered to the clubs at the next Annual General Meeting.
